The saying often goes: “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!”

We have all heard this at some point when mulling over a purchase, whether it be for our car, our homes, a tattoo and most other things we invest our money into. This is also a phrase many within the boxing community have heard. In a day and age where every penny counts, it has never been more important to receive full value for our hard-earned money.

Although once upon a time we would largely agree with this notion, it has become evident that whilst prices have continued to rise, quality has not. In some instances it has even decreased as a result of cost cutting. Customers buying any goods are mostly understanding of rises which reflect cost increases, but the mark ups we have seen within our sport for equipment has been unprecedented. If investing in equipment which protects us, value for every pound charged is imperative. Those who compete for our entertainment and to reach their own goals often barely break even after a contest in the boxing world deserve the peace of mind that top end equipment can be obtained without punishing their purses.

This is why SAFEHANDS believes that now is the time to take action. By bringing high quality, hand made products within reach of fighters and participants alike at a cost they can realistically consider, we believe we can collectively improve the safety and satisfaction of all involved in our great sport. 

Our #FIGHTERSFIRST mentality is front and centre of everything we do, whether wrapping fighters’ hands, tending to cuts in the corner, being an extra ear for those in the gym or providing gloves and equipment fighters can trust.
